I heard from one guy I talked to who was a pe associate like 5 years ago that he cleared 300k then. So I’d assume mid 300s. He said his friend worked there and in 10 years passed 10 mill in personal income. This is all from that one guy so not sure what actually figures are.
Saw their latest fund (ACOF VI) initially aimed for $9.5bn but ultimately closed at $5.7bn which was even lower than the prior fund ($7.9bn). Does anyone have additional insights? Why did they fall so short? ACOF III and IV seemed to have performed quite well, so why were they struggling so much to raise capital?
A combination of (1) ACOF 5's underwhelming performance (2) Pullback from the traditional core industry of energy, which made up 40% of ACOF V (and was part of the reason for ACOF V's performance) and (3) Emergence of alternative strategies like ASOF and (4) Some internal turmoil among the seniors
Any update here if you know? How did their next round of fundraising go? Specifically interested in ACOF
Heard nothing but negatives thus far with top juniors leaving / getting canned due to fund performance. Jw if still a worthwhile seat to prioritize during recruit?

Thanks - any other insights too?
anyone know what analyst comp is like? also anyone else apply recently?
Incoming analysts are getting $120k base + $120k bonus + $30k signing + $75k A2A (if they stay on)
Pretty staggering numbers here breaking $340k in your first year. What’s Associate Comp like?
This can’t be for first year analysts out of college, can it? Also what’s A2A?
