Bain Capital mid level comp/wlb?
Seems like a great spot to work from what I’ve heard anecdotally (MF but with supposedly better hours than some of the other big names, plus I liked Boston the few times I’ve visited so that’s a plus). Currently in a credit/special sits team at a different firm and I’m potentially interested in trying to lateral into an associate/sr. associate at Bain Capital Credit, but I wanted to get a sense of what comp and wlb looks like in the mid-seniority roles like sr. associate and VP in that group. Anyone have any insight? Would be much appreciated, thanks!

Anecdotally have heard VP comp in that group is in 575-625 range. Now sure how that scales
Thanks for the data point. Do you have any sense of what wlb looks like at the VP level in this position?
Bump for any other data points?

Any insight into how the associate experience is in the NY office? Or if that differs from Boston in anyway?
The NY office is basically empty, it’s very very small. Hard to have much mentorship or community. On the other hand, you get to not live in Boston

Bump for any data points?
VP in NAPE is ~$550K+ (excluding carry). Close source
Thanks for sharing. Would this be the same in the Credit group?
No real source here (so take with a grain of salt) but have to think Credit has a haircut, just not sure by how much. Basing this off of industry knowledge and the fact that NAPE is the highest / most prestigious group. Know other investing roles at Bain (Tech Opps, Emerging Markets, etc.) pay lower
