Been told to find another job. How long do I have before I get fired? (Please help)
Had a poor annual review so I was told to find another job. Firm is nice enough to say that they will offer good references for my next job. The issue is, the job market has slowed down quite a bit. I have been looking for about 1 month but haven't got much traction for something that I truly like.
How long does a PE firm typically let you stay afloat while looking for another job before they officially fire you? Firm is not shrinking so don't think they will be under a tight budget.
Any data point is much appreciated!
Had a few recruiters reach out for LMM PE jobs in various cities, DM me and I can share the postings if youre interested. Cant say it will amount to anything as its from generic email blasts via PinPoint but it may be helpful.
Best of luck to you and hope you're hanging in there.
Co-worker was told 5-6 months before his end date that he wouldn't get promoted. Heard from a friend at another fund that someone there who was asked to leave was given about 6 months as well. YMMV though. These are two UMM funds.
Best of luck.
