Best PE interview prep?

Obviously WSO has a well known course with models/PDF question guide, so leaning toward that one. However, also recently found some others that look solid like those from peakframeworks and 10xebitda so was wondering if anybody had experience with those. Open to other recommendations too.

FWIW I used WSO and thought it was incongruent with my modeling tests. Way too easy if you want to go to any technical or cap structure focused firm

Yeah dunno, I would disagree. There are some things I faced during recruiting that weren't rly covered in the WSO models. Purchase accounting, unit economics, and it only does vanilla equity buyouts. I really love their IB stuff, but their buyside stuff is pretty B+ IMO

Good you had a better experience, WSO alone wasn't enough for me and I had to get a lot more resources before I felt good.

I didn’t actually buy any guide during recruiting as I already worked in MM PE (lateraled to MF), but I did copy verbatim the 10xebitda article on how to walk someone through a deal I worked on, and I’d strongly encourage you to structure your answer(s) to this question in the article’s way. Most interviewers I had were 2 minutes on my resume, and most of the remainder was discussing deals I had worked on. The way you answer this makes the interviewer ask follow up questions about the deal you’ve worked on, and assumably know like the back of your hand, which makes you look smart and helps you avoid more of the filler technical/behavioral questions and occasional awkward silences.
