Blackstone Private Equity Valuations & Analytics Analyst/Associate
Does anyone have any insights into the day-to-day of this role? I'm curious about what an analyst on this team actually does, WLB, total comp, career prospects, etc. Is this a seat that someone typically stays & grows in? Is there a path to the deal team/other investing strategies? Does it provide a good learning opportunity for PE, or is it more of a middle office seat with limited mobility & upside?
Middle office seat that does the quarterly mark to market valuations. No path to investing.
Agree with this. Think DCFs, market comps, etc. Definitely more accounting/back office like. Probably spend a bit of time defending/explaining the valuations to auditors. Comp is probably not terrible, but definitely doesn’t have the same potential as a front office role.
