Can speak for BF. Pure fund raising role. No exit to PE roles. Cannot comment on B-school, no clue

Not really, IR is done by the individual teams (typically), although there is some overlap.
Think of private funds group as really the fundraise engine behind BFs recent AUM growth.
Great career option. Will set you up fine for a lucrative career or b school but it won’t get you to an investor role (at least in any traditional sense).
