What is the craziest path to someone making to MF PE that you have seen? Someone who beat all the odds, and through a series of laterals, job upgrades, and luck, have made it to MF PE

I call BS on your example no one in their right mind would give up Fidelity FO (i.e., LO AM) for Big 4 role.
Also that is 7 jobs you're referring before MF PE. Assume each at 1 year stint minimum that means they got into PE in the associate level 7-8 years of experience (~28-30 years old) highly doubt it
