Didn’t accept a MM PE offer, now I hate my life.
Got an offer for MM PE that was 60k below what I am currently making. Existing firm tried to get me to stay. Tried to negotiate. Offer got pulled. I am depressed. Rant ended…. Literally want to die.

I guess funding was not secured...
Not tryna be funny but might as well try to find the positives (saved yourself 60k - which is more than the average total comp in the country) and learn from your mistakes if you regret it (be careful with negotiating).
You have to be prepared to walk away when negotiating otherwise you have no leverage. This is the most basic rule
I could understand if you wanted the full 60K that they would walk away, but to not entertain a negotiation is stingy AF. Classic MM PE funds love to underpay and then complain that they're not getting any quality candidates. My fund does the same - Partner begged the Associates to "turn over every rock" to get more candidates to interview, and it's just like, go fuck yourself...if you wanted good quality finance talent then pay more you fucking bozos
Dodged yourself a bullet. Offer could have been pulled for many reasons. Imagine signing with them, resigning your job, and then they fucking pulled the offer. #fuckMMPE #nextoneletsgo
