Do Infra Funds Recruit On-Cycle?
Incoming first-year joining a P&U / Infra / Renewables banking group and think I may want to exit to infra fund. With all the talk about on-cycle, do any infra funds recruit this way? Or is it just traditional PE? Talking about GIP / Stonepeak and MF Infra, etc. here
Stonepeak was covered by BellCast this cycle. Not 100% sure about their timing but I think it's during/shortly after on cycle.
Putting aside the MF infra arms and larger funds like GIP/Stonepeak, many many MM infra-focused funds do off-cycle due to sector focus (e.g., they want people who are experienced / want to do infra) and preference to do fulsome processes.
When does "on cycle" generally start and run until?
which bank if you don't mind me asking?
I'm an incoming intern and think we could be at the same one based on funds you're targeting
also very interested in GIP/Stonepeak/Ares and looking to connect with other people interested in the space
I have some infra case studies I can share too
