At the very least, you should be able to talk about thesis generation and sourcing. Hopefully you can also talk to diligence, negotiation and execution. Even if you only did the former, it's relevant.

I mean fundamentally it depends on how you are able to talk about it. From an experience-perspective, it isn’t a substitute for something like IB. But if you are a good marketer it can be. Except for the mega funds and probably certain UMM it would be viewed as competitive if you then go get your MBA after doing a search fund but before the PE role
