GS / MS PE Associate to HBS / GSB?

Hey all!

I am currently an IB analyst at one of GS / MS. I have recently been chatting with some of the associates in the PE arm of my Firm, and their experience / WLB sounds very appealing to me.

I am, however, considering B-school in a few years. Does anyone know how my experience in IB —> PE within the same Firm (GS / MS) would be looked at by admission officers at top B-schools? Should I just pursue the traditional MF route if I want to maximize my admissions chances at HBS / GSB? Thanks all!

Can confirm strong bschool placement at MSPE. Former colleagues there have gone to GSB and HBS
