This is completely firm dependent. It generally comes down to how busy the person is who is responsible for updating the website. I don’t recall how long my first photo took, but my second one took months as we had all of our photos professionally done at once. Mine probably also added at least a week of extra photoshop time to make it presentable... My third job I ended up using a photo taken on an iPhone for the first year or two, which was ironically better than the professional one we eventually took. My fourth gig the PE firm had a dedicated marketing department that asked me for my full website / press release info and a photo literally day one on the job.

So — it depends. But with COVID, don’t expect past precedent to really mean much of anything!
