Going to work in NY BB IB and am interested in pursuing pre-MBA PE opportunities in Asia and coming back to the US for MBA. Compared to US MF or UMM, how well are pre-MBA experience in MF Asian offices regarded by HH and PE firms in the US (given how competitive post-MBA PE recruiting is)? What about Asia buy-out funds like PAG/Baring/MBK?
Also curious about how Asian PE experience is viewed by B-schools, given target undergrad and decent grades.
