How can I break into the industry?

Hi all,

I hope someone can give me some advice...

Currently located in Europe and can't break into top-tier jobs (Mostly require a native level of the local language, and I don't have working rights in other countries) with around two years of FT experience working in a private market fund (Growth/ Debt focused), but the fundraising is not going well. (If the fund fails, I am likely to be 0 experience in deals or investment but only business development/ fundraising experience).

There is nowhere to go, I applied for a few PE/ AM jobs but got rejected in the final round due to a lack of deal/ investment experience (Even if I did pretty well in the interview). Also, I cannot disclose what I am doing during the interview, given my current job's confidential nature (Still not out to the market).

The good news is even if the fund fails, I won't be unemployed but will be transferred to some department I am not interested in... However, I have given up some EB internships for this job after graduating, making me even more frustrated with the current situation.

Background:

Bankrupted family, + my parents haven't even had the chance to finish primary school.

A few years ago, I self-financed myself to Europe for my bachelor's and master's degrees (Both achieved 4.0, a vice-chair of one of the largest student councils, finished four full-time internships (All about 3 - 4 months from operation to Coverage and LevFin all in the Corpbank space) on my final & master year, and worked full-time beside the bachelor years to pay my bill)
