Infrastructure PE Europe : Analyst Salary

Hello everyone !

I am currently in the process of being recruted in a European PE fund (1-5bn AUM) specialized in Infrastructure, straight after college (Master degree). From my understanding, fixed salary revolves around 50k in average, and bonus of 10k, can anyone confirm or not this number? You would be a true hero 😉 ! Thanks in advance.

Current 3rd year analyst in European infra PE. Base is 45-50k€ with almost no progression at analyst level and bonus 50-80% of base

Associate is 65-70 with same level of bonus

Senior associate is 75-85

Not sure for above.

Hope this helps

Certain Infra PE such as Ardian / GIP / Antin pay closer to 75-80k€ base at analyst level so really depends on fund size and strategy

This is just mind blowing … even when considering that Tier 1 US cities are more expensive to live in compared to Europe.

I’ve always wondered where things went wrong here in terms of salary ^^

In a fund of 1-5bn you should at least get 60k salary with a bonus of 50%- 80%.

Note that your fund (assuming they have 3bn of AuM) is making at least 45m in revenue assuming just a 1.5% management so, they should be able to pay you properly....

if they had 200m AuM I would understand the salary and bonus you said but with 1- 5bn... no way.. they are just cheap bastards.

£50k+10k sounds pretty low... Is it a fund based in UK or Southern EU? Do you have previous experience?

Thanks for the input ! The fund is based in France. Would you consider negotiating the fixed salary or the bonus ? Is it even possible to negotiate the bonus in advance, since it’s supposed to be linked to fund’s performance ?
