Insight on TPG and H&F direct promote?

Hey monkeys! Was wondering about what the internal promo (to sr asso / VP) looks like at these two shops. Know that TPG capital has different groups for each sector (healthcare, software, internet etc). Not sure about H&F.

Tried to do a linkedin search but feel like that data is a little misleading since I’ve heard there are people who decide to leave after 2 years to other shops / b-school / corp dev etc, so not sure if the % of people who get promoted is a function of the group or the people.

Generally just trying to get a sense of the vibe when it comes to this. For those who want to stay (and are decent), is that an option? Do these shops support b-school apps? Do associates from these shops get looks from other good shops?

Sorry if these questions are silly - still in early days of banking and still learning about the buyside.

Thank you!
