LBO Test vs. CIM LBO test

Hello all,

I have a modeling test coming up in 2 days for a PE, and I know I will be required to build an LBO based on a CIM

I have found a few good practice cases on the internet, but (I guess obviousy) I couldnt find one to be built using a CIM

Could anyone simply explain what main differences I can expect? Any tips as to how to be as efficient as possible when handling a full CIM towards a building a c. 2 hour model?

Any answers are appreciated.

Similar process. You will be given a 20/30/50 page deck with overview of the company, its products/services, competition, and financial data. You will have to import into your excel the data and run the model.

The rationale is the same, the difference is that the interviewer will be more focused on the commercial rationale of the investment rather than the financial engineering of the model.

Do not get me wrong. You will still be asked to walk through the model especially P/L, Debt schedule and returns
