Not that it can't be done, it's just that you have to be a lot more specific: are you looking for companies with $1Bil+ in funds? which industries of interest? international or domestic only?
Otherwise you'll end up with a list of over 500 names ranging from BX to boiler rooms out of CT.
I did a FactSet screen and was able to get this, but as stated by WestCoast, you need to be more specific. I did it for firms under $1Bn AUM and a few other criteria.
I'm looking for a list of small private equity firms of any interest in industry that invests domestically only, located in NYC.
