London / Europe Headhunters

Wondering if anyone transitioned from investment banking in the US to PE / growth equity in London / Europe? And what was your process? The headhunters reached out for 2023 on cycle are almost all US only. What HHs should I reach out to for London / Europe buyside opportunities?

Thanks in advance for sharing!

Bear in mind processes are way less structured in europe in the sense that are more on an Ad-Hoc basis. Some headhunters you should reach out to are: KEA (clients like APO, Rhone, Palatinum, Silver Lake, Lone star etc., ppl think they’re arrogant, like them a lot tho), Blackwood (BX infra and RE, CD&R, etc) Walker Hamill (H&F, BainCap PE, some interesting MM, BC Partners), Nordbridge (never worked with them, came across weird tbh, think they have CVC, Cinven), Darmouth Partners (unprofessional af imo, think they have EQT, Cinven), Hinton Roses (best ones for distress - APO Credit, Elliott,DK, SVP, etc.) Arkesden (don’t know much about their clients), Goodman Mason (Permira I think and other MM). Certain firms might have been using different HHs
