New Apollo / 26North?
Anyone have new insight on them? Already grown to $10B in AUM a month after launching. Saw the other thread but not much info.

Maybe just doing research on Josh Harris and his rep/working style while at Apollo may be a helpful starting place of info. I hope that helps. Good luck
Josh Harris is famously a chill guy who is pleasant to work with, you should go for it OP!

Would strongly recommend pursuing other opportunities. Harris and his cabal that left were largely the worst of the bunch at Apollo. Defines working hard, and not smart
Genuinely curious what informed this comment, particularly the "not smart" bit - did you work under him / others than left with him at Apollo? Any stories you could share would be super appreciated
It’s pretty widely known at APO that he was a bit scattered and enjoyed the comfort around volume of analysis, rather than focusing on what matters, creating headaches across the firm
Also, look into how Brookfield reacted when AEL - a subsidiary - struck a deal with them
Any idea who is the HH for 26North?
CPI. Ran the process last spring. Was told they paused recruiting this year bc they over staffed and don’t have the expected deal volume.
I’d avoid them if you can though. Majority of deals are private credit on sponsor backed deals. That will change going forward but go fwd plan is still heavy direct lending.
Thanks
