(Non-MF) PE Firms that take undergrad interns

To be brief, the MF PE funds that recruit undergrad interns are well-known and have relatively structured recruiting processes (Insight, Bx, Ares), but it's hard to come across firms outside of the largest that also recruit interns (both sophomore and junior undergrad interns). Audax, Altamont, and StepStone are some I've come across, but I was wondering if anyone knew about more firms across the US that do this.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, there are indeed several Private Equity firms that recruit undergrads. Some of these include:

  1. Blackstone: Known to recruit undergrads, particularly those from top schools with high GPAs.
  2. Apollo, KKR, Carlyle, TPG, Warburg Pincus, Bain: These firms have been mentioned in the context of having representation from top undergraduate schools.
  3. Warburg Pincus: They took 4 full-time undergrads for the first time in a particular year.
  4. KKR: Known to take undergrad interns.
  5. Carlyle: They have taken interns and converted at least one to full-time.
  6. Parthenon: In SF, they recruited undergrads for the first time in a particular year.
  7. General Atlantic (growth equity): They have a formal undergrad recruiting process.

Remember, these firms are highly competitive and often look for top-performing students from well-regarded schools. So, keep your grades up, network effectively, and make the most of the resources available to you. Good luck, future PE star!

The Riverside Company hires undergrads but the process is different for their flagship MM/UMM buyout fund (RCAF) and their LMM fund (RMCF). They have relatively structured recruiting processes and training programs similar to BB/EBs.

RMCF hires undergrad interns every year and many of them return to become full-time analysts.

RCAF works on larger and more complex deals so they only occasionally hire undergrad interns (usually upperclassmen with IB experience / offers) and only hire full-times at the associate level out of IB.

Cdn funds do (Altas, Brookfield, Onex). However dont think they hired any non-canadian interns
