PE CASE STUDY REPOSITORY
Have seen a lot of threads with people asking for PE case studies / modeling exercises. Some helpful members have offered to share their resources, and have suggested interested users to PM. However, PM’ing is inefficient on both ends. To resolve this, would anyone be willing to create a google drive accessible to anyone as a repository for PE resources?
Thank you in advance. This will be a huge value add to the community.

I think this is where the free rider problem might be an issue :/
Yeah sure I’d love for 500 prospects to plagiarize my materials....
Don’t get me wrong I’ve helped out current analysts who reach out for calls and work it the right way. This just feels fucking lazy
.
I have Case studies up for sale. Comment on this thread and I'll DM you
Hey, interested, please DM me
Interested!
This is dangerous as all Funds will change their case studies !
They already know how many cases are circulating around PJT/EVR/GS classic lol
What do i get in return
Comment below if you want some, and have your wallets out and ready
To be honest, it is quite easy to create your own case studies.
In my experience, most PE funds give you either an IM or for public companies some company materials (Capital Markets Day presentation, Annual Report, etc.) with broker reports and ask:
“You habe 3h time. Please prepare a short presentation (5-10 pages) outlining whether this company would be a good investment for Fund XYZ. Please support your analysis with an LBO model and make a suggestion for the offer price.”
If you work in IB, just print out the IMs of the recent sell-sides of your team and do your own case studies.
Would echo the above, generally some overlap across case studies but typically:
1) Some form of an LBO model - either full fledge 3 statement with operating assumptions, simple LBO with basic balance sheet items, etc. Note, they will usually provide a page or tab of assumptions that you will drive the model off of, but sometimes you may be asked to put your own assumptions and debrief it with a few investment professionals
2) CIM to leverage for your model or do a few page deck on - usually this is a shortened CIM like 10-20 pages; however, if in person, it could be a full 80 pager. The key here is to sift through and make sure you a) understand what the company does b) how it makes money and the revenue model c) ways to drive value creation and operating leverage
3) Debrief / Model Walk Through - this is your opportunity to explain your model and how you thought about the assumptions and your understanding of how different plugs can impact your returns analysis or cash flow profile
Saw a video recently by a YouTube channel called skimaskbro which cover a PE case study in depth, should definitely check it out
Trying to follow this guy and he's crazy fast, wish he would do a little better job at slowing down/explaining what he's doing. But overall can't complain, it's good practice to try and keep up.
Do all of the studies have an answer key? Thanks
I just reached out to the email on the website to see if they’d review and got corrections back pretty quickly. Wish that was more clear at first but they were helpful.
