havent heard back after superday but comp is below street I heard but rapidly grows after 2-3 years upon becoming an associate. if you are working the investment team you're constantly being grinded on M&A prospects and deals. sourcing is also a grind to be completely honest. i also heard they have good deal flow and decent to okay WLB. not sure about how they really function internally but heard sourcing is a huge aspect of their network and bringing in prospects or portfolio companies.

i wud say top 10-15 GE firms right now... not 1000% sure but i know TPG, GA, and companies like those are up there but then PSG and stuff comes right after so definitely top 15 or even top 10. they get a huge rep from the providence name, but they slowly deviated away from PEP to become their own brand but are still correlated I think.

comp on investment team varies from comp on sourcing team. heard comp for investment team is like 110-120k base. and i heard comp for sourcing is a little under that (prolly like 100k range) but not sure where its at to be completely honest. im just assuming since a lot of people on other threads said that so im just following...and my buddy for 2025 reinforced it.

work life balance - not. insanely well. heard its less than average in terms of they really make the investment team work hard and im assuming same for the sourcing team since that is their main fuel and source engine of where they find these companies unlike a lot of other firms which have auto relationships that the MDs bring in. but overall great firm, they have stuff for interns that they do over the summer since I had a friend who interned there back in 2025 and they have good values for full timers but I think its a big sweatshop grind like an IB sweatshop where you're working a lot for a decent/average to low end salary.

other insight - they do a lot of SaaS investing I think which you can find on their website regardless and they have talented individuals from good Investment Banks so definitely if you end up getting an offer, network with the heads at the company and if you wanna do IB go do IB if you wanna do something else or even a startup network still.

my buddy interned summer of 2025 and he said he knows some summer 2026 offers are out for the investment and sourcing team because he saw them on LinkedIn or he talked around the office but not 100% sure if they are done wrapping up things or whats going on

have a buddy there, so this commentary is geared towards the full time role. Very sweaty - would not let the GE branding fool you, they are running PE-style diligence regardless of the asset size / profile.

Comp meaningfully below market given $6B fund and bad hours. $250k all-in for a first year associate and something like a $10k raise the second year. Probably $50-70k below market for their fund size and diligence style.
