Research for PE firms
Hey guys,
I got an interview with KPO firm. I was shooting for equity research, but I was told that the position I will be interviewing is "Research for PE firms". As I never worked or dealt with PE firms, what does this research exactly mean?
What is KPO?
Knowledge Process outsourcing. basically same as BPO ( business process outsourcing).
Alright, so I got some feedback on this role.
My background is in equity research, and now I am in corporate finance. I had little exposure to PE industry. Could you please break it down for me.
"The role includes creating profiles for pitchbooks of both private and public companies, company screens, industry research and other ad-hoc research from the client such as spreading comps. You’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of business models and industries and will also have the opportunity to attend equity research and financial modeling training"
what does exactly "creating profiles for pitchbooks" means? and spreading comps?
Any feedback is highly appreciated.
dude creating industry/company profiles is by far the most boring thing ever.ruuuuunnnnnn
hahaha. spreading comps is not that exciting either.
