SG Partners?
Hi,
Can someone shed some light on SG Partner's client exposure please? Know they have Blackstone. Are they mostly covering megafunds, or do they do some smaller funds, and hedge funds too?

I've gotten some solid L/S hedge fund looks with >$1B AUM from them.
They cover a range of teams for Blackstone - PE, Tac Opps, BAAM etc. But that is their main and ~only megafund client. This is a legacy relationship they have maintained for a while.
Other than Blackstone, mostly smaller private equity funds (several $1B). Have seen several new/emerging managers as they try to expand their client list.
Do you have a list of some of the smaller PE funds and the emerging ones that they cover?
They only showed me BX and a random firm called Staple Street...
SG used to be one of the top HHs in the PE recruiting landscape - really crazy how things have changed. Looking at their client list, it seems like some of the SG branch-offs have poached away many of their former UMM and MF clients.
I also get pinged by them regarding banking opportunities a ton - probably a function of wanting to diversify away from PE where they haven't been as dominant as they used to be.
Believe they cover Crestview as well but not sure if that's changed
