Hi everyone, wanted to see if anyone has a sense of culture at Sycamore?
Interested in learning more about the firm. Been a while since they last fundraised but seems like they're doing well given Walgreens.
Additionally, would appreciate any thoughts on future of consumer PE. Do you view this as a dying sector or do you think there will still be a place for it?
Even for PE, they’re a bit ruthless when it comes to cutting costs. I’d imagine that people have sharp elbows there but can’t say I’ve had too much direct experience with them

This also just shows that if this is the strategy for making a return in PE the asset class is so cooked...Can't generate any growth so cut 0.00005% of costs to somehow make a -6% IRR over 15 years (likely outcome if they don't' bankrupt it).
