Columbia MSRED Admitted Students

I just got accepted to Columbia's MSRED program through the newly implemented early action scheme. I'm looking to meet some NYC-based people who will also be attending the program ahead of the May start. If there's enough interest, perhaps we could make a GC. Please let me know if you're interested - looking forward to meeting everyone.

Also, if you're planning to attend, what is your background? Curious to learn who will make up the cohort.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Columbia's MSRED program has a diverse cohort, often including individuals from various professional backgrounds such as real estate, finance, architecture, and law. The program is known for its strong brand name, networking opportunities, and one-year structure, which attracts a mix of domestic and international students. However, some discussions highlight that Columbia's MSRED alumni network may not be as tightly integrated with the broader Columbia MBA or BS/BA alumni, and a significant portion of the international alumni base tends to return to their home countries, particularly in Asia.

If you're looking to connect with other admitted students, creating a group chat is a great idea to foster early networking and collaboration. It might also be helpful to reach out through LinkedIn or other professional platforms to find peers who are planning to attend.
