FA/ Acquisition Analyst Comp NYC

Hey gang,

I know there is a thread dedicated to this, but wanted to ask anyway.

I got an offer to be a Financial Analyst that has heavy acquisition duties. What do you all think this position should make? I don't know the AUM, but they have maybe 100 properties and are a family office with multiple income streams(not all CRE). My time will be split from legacy portfolio to a new programmatic GP that seeks to leverage its political contacts in acquiring and entitling development sights in NYC. They are looking at a proforma 2x-3x over a 3-year horizon.

They came back to me with 105k and a discretionary bonus.

The only other aspect is that I would have to drive to the office around 45 min-1 hr. My commute to midtown is currently 30min-45 min.

It looks like they don't have the institutional infrastructure track from analyst-associate-vp.

Should i be getting carry(even though they said they were not going to offer it), or a deal by deal bonus? They won't give a target bonus, but it is around 5%-10%. I would be replacing someone who was a dedicated FA and does not have the modeling and deal experieince I do.

I have 5-6 years experience but the posting is for around 4 years experience. Any help is appreciated.

correct me if im wrong, but you have 6 years of post-undergrad experience and you are looking to do a lateral transition into another analyst role?

Why are you going for FA roles with your exp level? Go for associate level+ roles. Otherwise you're going to get low-balled.
