JLL phone interview help

I have a phone interview with JLL and it’s my dream company. I really want to nail this phone call. For those who have experience, what can I expect? Is it just a pretty standard phone interview or will it be filled with technical questions?

It’s a capital markets analyst type of role which is quite different than what I do now but want to get my foot in the door with them.

Are they a tough company to get into? Lots of competition?

Quick question, can you explain what the transactions group is? Keep seeing postings and have no idea what they do. Also do you have any idea about return offers from your group?

I'm currently at a JLL competitor in capital markets as an analyst. They’ll ask about why you’re interested and what you bring to the table essentially. My advice to you is to emphasize how the position aligns with your long term goals (i.e eventually become a broker) and bring up your familiarity w financial modeling in the context of real estate. Also you'll be spending a lot of time writing narratives/memo stuff so bring up the subject of how you're a strong researcher/writer.If you can hit these three points and demonstrate some sort of aptitude I'm sure you'll be fine for the preliminary interviews.Hope this helps!

1st call is to make sure you are normal. Luck of the draw tbh. I had a screen call w a JLL recruiter that was a complete dumbass. Just gotta make them like you and demonstrate competency.

Interned for JLL Capital Markets in one of their Southeast offices. The phone call was fairly standard, I was mainly asked questions about my resume, my value-add to the office, with some technical questions scattered throughout (cap rates and related math, DCF, etc.). Happy to answer any questions via pm if you'd like.
