R1 should be fit based, with light technicals (i.e. which asset class would generally have a higher cap rate such as industrial hospitality multifamily etc,all things equal)

Funniest

R1 was pretty brutal ngl.

I had a male analyst as an interviewer…nightmare, had me questioning my life choices.

Overall wasn’t too bad.

One question I was asked was is how I value a farm in feudal Japan given the increasing pressure from the west to open up trade.

Not my experience. Interviewed in 2025 as well. Round 1 was fine, with behaviorals and easy banking technicals. Made it to round 2 and was feeling good. There were more difficult technicals and I missed one technical that I had never heard before. When I realized I didnt know it I asked for clarification, trying to stay positive, ect. but the analyst was dry and unhelpful. I was cut after that. I still dont get it because I landed 2 other offers at REGAL groups (one GS/MS/BOFA and one other EB) and overall felt the interview with EVR went well except for the 1 technical. Overall going to highly depend who you get in your interview. But in my experience they grilled.

interviewed this yr for SA27 and i think its highly dependent on your interviewer as others have said. i had 2 interviews one on one and one was v technical while the other was mostly behavioral. as for prep, i would do your typical real estate ib questions + a mix of repe / knowing the markets

Does anyone have updated news on how good this group is? In their process right now, but don't know how they stack up against other REGAL groups, as I am more interested in M&A than their Capital Advisory services. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
