Georgetown will not help you much for recruiting. USC is a semi-target at best, and if you're motivated by graduating debt-free take it. Stern is by far and away the best option for you here, especially if they gave you that much money. It's pretty crappy aid there.

Stern tends to get shit on here on WSO but the fact of the matter is that the recruiting on campus is godly and the placement has been absurd lately and the location factor tops it all off, you have access to work or networking opportunities around the year.

I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.

You really have two choices: USC and see fine ass biatches everyday or NYU and see manly lookin biatches everyday. If you are dead set on IB, then NYU IMO. At your age my dick did the thinkin for me.

I was going to tell you to pick between USC and NYU (USC giving you the better college experience, NYU giving better recruiting), but 30k per year? USC all the way.

I might be biased; just look at my username. But, imo, USC will give you a fantastic college experience with access to good recruiting. Proportionately, there might not be many Marshall guys in NYC, but there was at least one at every BB interview I went to on the west coast.

SoCal, hot girls, great parties vs. 120k in the hole on graduation, no real campus, crappy weather. I am not denying Stern has slightly better placement, but I would not say it is 120k better. Also, enjoy college. Looking back, I wish I had chosen a slightly less "prestigious" school that I would have enjoyed versus; you only get to be a college student once.

If you want the best mix between a college experience and prestige go with Georgetown. I honestly just can't fathom why anyone would choose NYU unless you really want to give up everything for banking (nothing wrong with this I suppose) and you can't get into the ivies. NYU=No Campus=No Frats=No fun (you don't even necessarily need to be in a frat, but you do need to have frat parties to get to girls, so at least make friends with bros so they'll let you in).

USC will be the most fun, but you won't get much recruiter access.

I think Georgetown is ok for Wall street (but some people say they don't get access on this thread, but on other threads I've read differently), not as good as NYU, but for the reasons stated above, I would not choose NYU.

I should point out that Georgetown also has no frats, but it is more fun, because again it has an actual campus. You can trash crappy off campus houses, but not expensive apartments in the city....

Absolutely NO WAY is NYU a better a school than Georgetown. Are you guys serious????

Georgetown places lights out on the street. NYU is a much larger school, and there are more students there who want to get into ibd. When you adjust for size, I'd argue that Gtown is much better for banking.

"people get any IBD and a decent amount of PE/HF jobs out of undergrad here, and almost everybody who puts in the effort of getting acceptable grades and good internships gets FO."

News Flash: You need to face the fact that your school is not that legit.

Numbers don't lie- NYU is not even in the top 5 for placement at my bank (top 3 BB).

For undergrad, even at sticker price, USC all the way. And with a full ride? You know what I'm getting at.

The undergrad experience at USC is second to none. And despite what people on here may think, the recruiting at USC is pretty good. Yes, there are more people going to IB on the west coast, but there are plenty going to NY too. There is a thread on it around here somewhere, but you seem like a smart kid so I'm gonna assume you have seen it already.

This is undergrad. Have the experience of a lifetime, get a excellent job, then a top 5 MBA, and have no regrets.
