Can I get into MIT MFin or LSE MSF or should I work and apply later?

My profile:
3.6 GPA non target(accounting major)
770 GMAT (Second attempt)
3 months of non profit experience, no IBD or anything
Was awarded scholarship by my undergrad institute
Some other achievements

My goals:
Breaking into investment research or IBD(US)
And I want to commit and devote the year to improving my personality and developing soft skills during the program(participate in as many activities as I can)

So do you think my profile is competitive enough? Also, I'm considering duke MMS just because I think they have the tools and right programs that I can use to develop solid soft skills. I'm not concerned so much about recruitment at duke because I know I'll get a job no matter, I'm a networking geek. So I'm only interested in the activities and social network there.

I thin you are very competitive at MIT. LSE is hard or relatively easy to get into depending on the program you. Either way you'd be good at LSE as well.
