Cass or Warwick for MSc Finance?

Here goes my first WSO post!

I come from a non finance background with a GPA of 6.2 in a 7 point scale and 3 years of work experience in Market Research (non finance). I have started to learn financial modelling and will be giving the Level 1 CFA this December. I decided this will be a good time to also get a Master's with the goal lf landing a SA 2021 internship in London. I have professional experience of using SQL and VBA if at all that would help me.

So I applied in the following programmes LSE MSc Finance - Rejected Cass MSc Corporate Finance - Accepted Warwick MSc Business and Finance - Accepted

I have only started my application process in June and couldn't apply to other colleges (Imperial for example is closed). I'm now in a dilemma between Cass and Warwick. I'm more inclined towards Cass due to the location and the networking opportunities.

The FT 2020 ranking does have Warwick 3rd in the UK but again, coming from a non finance background I'm not sure how much these rankings matter. Though, I have heard that Warwick relatively has a "clout" factor than Cass, especially for Finance programmes.

Any opinion would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

PS I should mention I'm a Non EU national

Warwick would provide you great opportunity to learn and they’ve huge network of alumni’s working at BB sector. whereas CASS is quite new, the only good thing about this school is location (London)- which is very competitive.

get on LinkedIn and analysis where Finance Graduates work after graduation and made your decision.
