Do Back Office guys have good prospects to Stanford GSB?

I am currently in a BO role at Fidelity Investments as a Systems Analyst and I would like to transition into the management consulting ndustry. Looking from the class profile GSB took more people from tech than financial services. I understand these include the software engineers and programmers from Apple and Microsoft but I am sure they include BO roles as well? Does this mean that BO guys get good prospects at Stanford?

Also historically though how hard of a time did Back office guys like me have when applying to top MBA programs like Stanford? Does your pre-MBA job matter a lot?

Finally what are my chances for schools in the M7? Here are some stats:

- Indian/Male
- Undergrad institution: University of Texas at Arlington
- Degree/Major: BS in Information Systems
- GPA: 3.7
- GMAT: 720
- Career: Systems Analyst @ Fidelity Invesmtents (3 yrs coming next week)

I can't tell if the OP is a troll, but to answer your question, I have a better chance of sleeping with Margot Robbie than you getting into Stanford GSB or HBS.

Like Monty said if you have a good story, you have the same shot as anyone else.

The answer to your question is 1) network 2) get involved 3) beef up your resume 4) repeat -happypantsmcgee WSO is not your personal search function.
