MSF colleges

Can someone please provide me a list of good MSF programs(in the US) both in terms of good curriculum as well as strong placements???. Rankings from websites seem to be confusing. Colleges Other than Princeton and MIT (both being quantitative) have different reviews and rankings in different sites.

Thanks in advance!!!

I was just looking at MSF programs. It seems that Princeton, CMS, and MIT are the top but very quant oriented. Then after that USC, UT Austin, Vandy do pretty well. I was looking at these 3. To have the UT Austin or USC network at your disposal would be awesome. Not sure what USC placement is. ( I asked for their employment report but yet to hear back. UT Austin and Vandys placement looks very strong though.

Don't downplay the Vandy network either. People in the south consider it on par with Harvard

Also add Wash. U Olin to the list, but the Quantitative Finance track has better placement then the corporate finance & Investment track. Not exactly sure about their reputation, but also check out Boston College. I heard it's somewhat of a solid program.

Best Response

Vandy, Villanova, Boston College, Wash U, Claremont, USC, UTA, SMU, MIT, Ohio State

ND, Duke, Michigan, Northwestern - all good MiM programs

There are plenty more depending on what kind of job you want, where you want to work, etc.

They all do, haha. It's really going to come down to what you want out of the program. I'd suggest doing a two-year MSF program because it will allow you to do a summer analyst stint and perhaps increase your chance in FT placement. If you have strong recent experience you could probably do with a one-year MSF or MiM program. Telling you what programs TNA listed for strong placement won't necessarily help your specific situation. I suggest thoroughly looking through all those programs to first see if they are a fit for you and a realistic opportunity. Then from there look at their placement, pretty much all those school release employment reports from their programs.

Agree with above. I suggest doing some research. The questions being asked are ones that could be easily answered on your own.

Glad that you finally said this.
