MSF profile evaluation? thank you!

I'm a perspective MSF candidate for 2015-2016. Any insights related to my profile will be appreciated!
Chinese citizen, US undergrad at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities
Major: Honors BS Math (not planning to graduate with honors though, not particularly interested in writing a research paper)
Hold a 4-year-$7000/yr scholarship
GPA: 3.53 (will probably graduate with a 3.6)
GMAT: 700 - Q49+V37+IR7+AWA6.0 (only studied for one week, will take again in mid-November)
December 2014 CFA 1 candidate
Not too much work experience, did some stuff related to supply chain and facility location for three months during the summer
*Prefer to live in a city*
*will probably go back to asia upon finishing my MSF*

Get a good internship this summer. For most top programs you'll need at least one brand-name internship (or you need to get like 780 on your GMAT) so really aim for that. I don't know your uni cause I'm from UK/FR/GER, is it somewhat solid?
Hello youjustgotlittup, thanks for your advice. This is actually my last year in college, so I won't have time for a killer internship. Even if I had the time, given the current situation: 2nd tier school, poor alumni network, and a midwestern setting, it's unlikely that I will find the internship that could help me stand out in such a competitive applicant pool. I guess my best option would be getting a 750+ on my GMAT second try.
U of M is an okayish school, and it's more of the University of Manchester in the UK, if that makes sense to you :)
I'd say Vandy and WUSTL should be easy for you to get into, Claremont is probably 50/50 and Boston College isn't worth it for you. Would substitute UT for Boston College if I were you.
Hey The Stranger, thanks for the reply. Although I am going to apply to both Vandy and WUSTL, I'm more interested in going to a school located in a city setting. They are both very good schools, but from my personal perspective, not getting depression is more important. :) (and that's why I chose BC as my safety school)
I would recommend UK schools like LSE, Oxford because they have dedicated Asian HR hiring from those schools. WUSTL has a program with SIngapore Management Uni which you should check out.
Hey Demtor, thanks for the insights. Can I ask where did you get this information, that LSE and Oxford have dedicated asian HR? Do you have any personal experience or experience from friends? Of course it would be nice to stay in London after graduation (I LOVE that city), but given the current work Visa situation in the UK, I wouldn't be so optimistic about that idea.
WUSTL's global finance track looks really nice and fits my needs, I will definitely look into it. :)
