Networking for IB Positions FT

Hi all,

I am a recent college grad from a Big 10 school who has had previous internship experience in IB and Corporate Finance roles but graduated without a return offer.

I am currently networking hard to connect with people to find any roles that are in IB or CF that will let me switch to IB later. My cousin, who attends an Ivy League, was able to share their alumni directory account with me, so that I could connect with more people within the field. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to reach out to these people as I am not a student of the school and I've exhausted my own school's alumni directory.

Is it weird of me to connect with these people like that?
