Princeton and MIT Mfin

Hey all,

Looking for advice on Princeton and MIT MFin. I'm looking to apply for 2027 matriculation.

Profile:

  • Math & Econ at a T20 (3.45 GPA)
  • Not close with any professors → letters will be weak
  • Starting FT as an analyst at a pretty large hedge fund

I'm fairly confident I can score a near perfect score on the GRE. But I've taken a look at the Co2023 resume book and the majority of them graduated with highest honors. Whereas I have an F and a C- on my transcript from study abroad dragging down my gpa without mentioning the 2 no-pass grades I have that don't even count towards GPA.

I’m looking for honest advice from people familiar with these programs: should I chase it and use the next year to build my application or is it not worth the effort?
