Undergrad Business: IU Kelley Indiana vs. Fordham vs. Baruch
I'm wondering which of these 3 schools (IU Kelley Indiana, Fordham, Baruch) has better placement on Wall Street for undergrad. Cost isn't really an issue since I could potentially get huge merit scholarships at both Fordham and IU Kelley Indiana and I'm in-state for Baruch. If people could suggest other match/safety schools, that would be much appreciated. I've got the stats and profile for Ivy League schools. Right now the only match and safety schools I've got are the 3 already listed and U-M. I'd be fine with either business or econ undergrad major.
Kelly by far...
I've heard that the best jobs only go to those who get into the Investment Bank Workshop at Kelley. Assuming I don't get into it, how does regular Kelley compare to Fordham Gabelli?
Is Baruch respected in NY?
Fordham
Fordham
Fordham
if you have the stats for ivy league schools why not apply to cornell AEM and pay in state tuition there?
I'm not sure what you mean by in-state tuition because Cornell is a private school. Even if I got in, the thought of spending 4 years in Ithaca makes me absolutely miserable.
Kelley

Don't worry about it and get into the IB workshop
There is really no comparison between Kelley and Fordham. Disclosure, I am a Kelley grad. But even if you don't get into the IB workshop, there are other workshops like Investment Management and IB Seminar. If you work hard and set your goals straight you can land a gig in Chicago for sure. But the thing is as you are saying you have Ivy League credentials you shouldn't be thinking about these things yet anyway.
Fordham is shit soo.... and people to go Baruch if they didn't get in anywhere else and hope to end up at big4 audit.
OP - if you have "ivy league stats" why are you considering indiana, fordham, and baruch? doesnt makes any sense. hard to help you if you dont post your stats
I'm just trying to get some safety schools since most of the schools I'm applying to are crap shoots. And sorry for not posting my stats earlier- SAT: 2370 (800 Math, 800 Writing, 770 Critical Reading). 4.12/4.0 UW GPA (my school has a weird system where the UW GPA is out of 4.3 but it's reported as on a 4.0 scale). 5s on Calc BC, Micro, and Macro AP exams, 4 on AP US History exam. 800 SAT II Math II, 770 SAT II US History. decent ECs- plenty of leadership positions, on student council, debate team, mock trial. National Merit Semifinalist. above average essays and excellent letters of recommendation. Asian female. Hope this helps, if you need more info please don't hesitate to ask.
those certainly qualify as competitive stats, forget about baruch and fordham. I don't really see the need to even apply to IU Kelley either as you're a lock at Michigan. You may also want to apply to UNC and/or UVA.
Okay thank you for the suggestions, I appreciate them!
Of the 3 you listed, definitely Kelly. However, I'd apply to some of the other schools mentioned as well as Ivys.
Kelley has great opportunities for networking - of course the IBW/IMW first come to mind, but past that as well. There are easily 30 renowned Kelley organizations and hundreds outside of Kelley's walls on the rest of the campus. The UCSO has many recruiters come through and the alumni database offers great potential for networking.
indiana has an average SAT of around 1000 and a 75% acceptance rate. Why anyone would recommend that the OP apply there with a 1570 is beyond me.
I would ignore that as Indiana's statistics are oversweeping all of the schools. If you pay attention to Kelley's DA and SA standard statistics, the story changes a little bit.
What does SA and DA stand for?
