Career advice and or (Masters in accounting vs masters in statistics)`

I am considering going back to school for a masters degree. I have a bachelors degree in computer sceince(1 class shy of a math minor) and professional experience working as a software engineer in the financial industry. I have not worked in the industry the past couple years and i have been doing an unrelated side hustle (which actually brings in revenue)  the past couple years because i enjoy being my own boss.

I have lost interest in software development but i have become obsessed with options. I have some friends who are professional options traders. When i first graduated i interviewed with some prop firms and i got to one of the final rounds at akuna capital and the final round at an under the radar firm but i have social anxiety and didn't get past the round where i had to talk to someone on the phone.

Recently I opened a paper trading account with Charles Schwab and i have been trading options in that the past couple months with a 40% positive P/L statement ( I made about 2.6k which probably isn't a whole lot to people on here but I am very risk averse because i come from a working class family. Once i become more confident in my abilities I will feel comfortable with more risk).  I listen to Natenbergs vol and pricing audiobook everyday and a podcast run by people from the CBOE, CME group ,NASDAQ , tasty trade etc for over a year now..

I hate interviewing and applying for jobs but I will if that is my best option right now. I would like to apply for trading roles. I had a funded forex account with a couple prop firms but they were shady and one got banned from the US and the other took the money and ran so I decided to cut my losses with them and work with more professional firms. I'm not really that great at marketing myself on a resume .

I'm going to assume I have been out of school too long for prestigious quant roles ( I graduated in 2020). If I don't make the cut again in a job search , I was wondering if accounting or statistics will be more valuable. It will be easier for me to get an accounting degree because the school is closer and cheaper but i think the stats degree will be more valuable(although a lot more expensive). Preferabbly I would like to just get a trading job right away or just keep working as a software developer and trade on the side.

Thank you for taking the time to read this . Please forgive me for grammar and spelling mistakes.

Feel free to leave feedback on things I should consider or If you have any insight on what you would do if you were in my shoes. I appreciate it. Take care.
