Early lateral to s&t

Hello elder chimps,

Recent college grad (non-target, respectable biz school / finance program w/ regular placement) with internship exp in big 4 consulting (weighted more toward tech than finance, double majored in finance/infosys, received ft offer). Really discovered that I want to go all in on finance over course of senior year. Without internship exp in legit ib shop, a lot of doors are obv closed, but my personality and strengths lend themselves pretty well to sales, and I've got a lot of exp in trading and probably know a lot more about various securities and financial products than average applicant given I devote a lot of my own time to it and find it genuinely interesting, so I've been looking at s&t.

Recent developments caused ft offer at b4 to be pushed back to q2 2024, so I'm looking at this as a potential opp to get into what I really want to do before I'm locked in to an early stage of career with limited overlap.

I have come to you all looking for some advice on what I should do. Better to wait for b4 start date and try to get exposure to finance side of things first? As an optimistic leaning realist, I don't really think I'm fcked out of a reasonably solid banking job, but I need some guidance here. Thanks.
