First day / First week etiquette

Hi All,

Hope you're doing great! I started my Associate Sales (fixed income) position in S&T today. I wanted to find out from you guys what you think are proper first day / first-week etiquettes. For example, today I tried to go around to introduce myself to the Sales (of course since I work in this team) and trading side on the institutional desks. I didn't go to the corp desk but feel I should since they did interview me too (but eventually the institutional desk was best fit for me). Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated!

Also, I brought back some sweets from my vacation to share with the team. Thoughts on this? Don't want to seem like I'm kissing ass. I just think ppl will truly enjoy them because they did at my last job.

I know its a stupid question but any responses would be appreciated by industry folks.

“The mentor provided extremely detailed and thoughtful feedback throughout our session. What I appreciated most was that the advice was not generic. He took the time to understand my background, past experiences, and the specific roles I am currently recruiting for, and then tailored his suggestions accordingly. He also connected many of his recommendations to his own professional background and experiences, which made the feedback much more practical and credible. Instead of simply telling me what to change, he explained why certain answers or approaches would be more effective and how an interviewer might interpret them. He also shared specific examples from his own experience to illustrate his points. I came away from the session with a much clearer understanding of both my strengths and the areas I should improve, as well as several concrete ways to strengthen my interview preparation.
