This is the type of stupid shit that the SVB collapse will hopefully wipe out.

Bessemer, a16z, Insight, Level, Silversmith, M33, all have their funds under custody by SVB. Most growth equity activity will get absolutely crushed and the most active deals will be in the lower mid-market by firms experienced in the space.

I highly doubt these rankings mean anything anymore. The only ones who will be making money are the most disciplined investors who did not chase valuations like rabid dogs and didn't park their ENTIRE fund in SVB.

Nobody outside of VC and maybe PE even knows what growth equity is. There isn't any "prestige" associated with the space.

Didn't realize how many notable funds had direct exposure like that. It'll be interesting to see how this effects active processes over the next few weeks.

Can confirm - women confess they dream of undressing in front of me and founders are piling up inbound while my silly little friend in (checks notes) "Tier 3" just cleared my total comp as a bonus stub.
