Cain Brothers is healthcare MM exclusively. Lots of dealflow in his space with consolidation after Obamacare. I imagine Cain does mostly sell side M&A. They also don't touch biotech from what I've heard.
Offices in SF & NYC. No idea how the acquisition impacts their business, if at all.
Exit opps are pretty decent as far as the analysts I spoke to there. KeyBank acquisition changes Cain from a pure advisory IB to an IB with some semblance of a balance sheet - so probably will see some more CMO activities in the future (paraphrasing what I was told by a couple senior bankers there)
