DB SA 2020 Return Offers Thread
From what I've heard, DB postponed decisions on FT offers to next week (tomorrow). If anyone hears from them or has any insight regarding conversion rates, etc, please post on this thread.
Good luck everyone!

Interested.
Did they say it's going to be this week, or might it be next week as well?
I think this week but nothing is certain
This should be interesting
I heard a rumor that return offer rate is going to be ~25%
.
Just kidding
curious
any updates?
Nothing. I hope it doesn't carry over to next week
damn. sorry to hear that. Hoping for the best!
Jacksonville kids sweating hard lmao
Surely tomorrow right?
One can only hope lol. Last Thursday is when Db achieve found out
I won't be surprised if they do it on Friday or push it again to next week.
Hope not
Any updates?
Nope
damn
bump
not affiliated with DB in any way, but why does it seem like this place loves to torture they're employees? This thread seems to be filled with a bunch of people pissed off about bad communication and a weird process, and the thread about changes to the program before it started was more of the same. Guess this is why so many people shit on DB...
You think DB is the only bank that slightly delayed return offer communication and had to make changes when they went virtual? Don’t be naive.
Go make yourself useful, fetch some coffee like the intern you are, and learn the difference between there their and they’re.
SURELY today right?
Surely...
Very nervous rn...Hope they call sooner rather than have us wait till late afternoon
Anyone hear back yet?
Nope
Anyone get a call?
Lot of no offers.
no
Calls going out or not?
They probably will give it out next week i think
Would it be ok to follow up with HR about the offers?
My best friend just got a full time offer rn!
IBD NYC?
Nah Global markets Nyc
anyone else hear back?
Calls have been going out this afternoon to analysts/associates for IBD NYC
lots of cuts, nice job signing DB for the summer haha
it would have costed you nothing to not be a dick about it, yet you did- hope this made your day Associate 2 in PE
Can anyone confirm IBD NYC Analyst offer?
Yes. HR is calling people, but I haven’t heard back. Curious if only people who got offers received the call or would everyone receive it? Can someone confirm?
Heard from people who got offers but also people who did not
Heard people are getting calls... anyone can confirm?
Got the offer, NYC IB
got a call and didn’t get offer
Sorry, man. Take the weekend to get settled, then start grinding. Something will turn up.
Honestly, feeling a little disappointed not getting a return offer. Little disgusted the way we interns were treated at DB - pay cut and low return offer rate. Clearly the only BB to have achieved this feat. Congrats to all who got the offer!
Kids need to steer clear of DB going forward in recruiting unless that's their only option
Wow, you must be salty. It’s almost like you’re working less hours and weeks so should get paid less for that, and also not good enough to get a return offer, so you blame everyone around you.
Nothing is promised to you at any bank. Either be the best and get an offer or grow up and get better. Do some introspection.
Offer rates were historically 85%+ so idk what happened this year. I seriously don't think dealflow was the issue, at least from what I've heard and the Q2 earnings transcript.
Dude, keep grinding. You'll get something.
Wow. Both of my buddies at DB didn't get returns. Wtf is the offer rate!?
Did they think things were looking good for them?
What was return rate?
How was S&T offer rate?
Are calls still going out?
Did everyone get a call? Or only people who get return offer receive the calls?
Has anyone heard back in London?
Lots of ppl got "waitlisted", basically meaning they have to wait ~2 weeks to see if anyone rejects and then a spot might open up for them (we get 2 weeks to sign). Offer rates were below historical levels, which is very surprising considering IBD has been doing extremely well recently.
To everyone who didn't get returns, I sincerely wish you all the best and hope you're successful in securing a FT.
whats the approx offer rate? Like 50%?
Not sure, I highly doubt it was 50% though. All I heard was they're lower than historical levels.
What was the offer rate for NYC IB?
Anyone know the offer rate?
Historically DB is about 75-80%. This year I would say offer rate is hovering around 50% - however, many kids received "waitlist offers" which could drastically decrease that number. All a guess so please take with a grain of salt.
Is this IB? Any idea abt S&T?
Why is it called a waitlist "offer" when it's not technically an offer?
This is incorrect. Return offer historically was ~85% and this year is slightly lower. However, absolutely nowhere near 50%.
Don’t spread bullshit, thanks.
That's correct. An associate told me offer rates are at 65-70% right now and that number may go up since waitlist kids might get offers. Also, I do know some IBD groups with over 80% returns.
What is the FT signing bonus that you got? And is there an extra bonus if you sign within two weeks?
Did everyone from DB hear back yesterday, or are the interns who get waitlisted not informed about it?
I know from HR that everyone in S&T received a call yesterday
I know 2 people who interned in NYC IBD and haven't heard back as yet - does this mean they are waitlisted?
what's the scene for nyc/ldn S&T? those of us in apac still (not so) patiently waiting...
I don't think London interns have heard back
Some NY interns also haven’t hear back. Does anyone know what happened? We were supposed to hear back by last Friday.
Do you think the waitlist offers hear back on a "rolling" basis (if someone declines, the first on the list gets a call)? Or do you think it'll be in 1-2 weeks, every person will get a new update (offers / rejection).
I feel like the latter would be more fair.
bump. its friday...
