Difference between BofA GWIM Summer Analyst and Merrill Lynch WM Branch office internship
Any idea what the difference is between BofA's Global Wealth and Investment Management Summer Analyst Program and the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Branch Office Internship?
Descriptions look pretty much the same, but the GWIM looks a little better.

Don't know about GWIM but ML WM is literally a paper pusher internship. It's better than nothing. My buddy interns there and cold calls.
there are some legit divisions within GWIM. GIS and US Trust Investments (not the satellite offices) are both middle to front office gigs
being both a former "paper pusher" and a GWIM summer analyst, i can tell you everything there is to know about the programs. ill message you later on today.
I'm also interested in what the distinction is between these two programs. Would GWIM be better for getting an IBD internship or do neither really help?
don't do it.
What year are you in college?
I did ML WM. All cold-calling. Wasn't my thing. Glad I left.
