its the og frat house. Exits limited to growth / vc (which imo is cooler than buyout)

GCA has a broader tech exposure and prob better exits but don't quote me

Strong deal flow, but a big portion (> 1/3) of that is cross-border deals with Asia. Positive/negative depending on what you’re looking for. Also, analysts get worked to the bone, 3 year analyst program, limited exit ops. Good firm, but much better options out there.

Not impossible I guess. GCA does have some recognition, but only among tech coverage groups in the West Coast. You might be able to spin the small tech deals into something sexy, but it's much more difficult to lateral out of GCA compared to a stronger firm like FT Partners IMO. Senior bankers at GCA place a high emphasis on firm loyalty (i.e. they want analysts to stay on the partner track) so you'll have to do lateral recruiting in secret. Not sure how you can manage that with the 80-90 hr work weeks. Considering all these factors, the cards will be really stacked against you if you're ultimately looking to lateral to a BB or EB
