IB Abroad Stint
Curious which banks are known for allowing US-based employees to work in other international offices for a predetermined length of time (~1 year or so). I believe JPM does. Anyone else heard of this, and does it typically require being promoted to a certain level (VP or above for example) before doing so?

MS does. I know several folks who have done third years in London, Dubai, Sydney, and Hong Kong. I'm sure you could do somewhere like Paris, Singapore, Mumbai, Sao Paulo if you wanted to.
I think if you were a solid analyst they could make almost any of these places happen but there was a ton of demand for certain offices (e.g. Sydney) which made them more competitive.
