Sort of late for the party by a decade. Ireland is experiencing a massive housing shortage, which is pissing off an otherwise calm population. Weather is almost permanently bad, the Irish accent is unfortunately impossible.
Also the main reason tech companies are there is a favourable tax regime which is regularly under scrutiny (though I do not see it going away in the next 5 years at least).
A lot of exceptions to the crazy economic numbers being put out by Ireland. Mainly because a lot of companies use it simply for EU access and favourable legislation. If you compare wages to Germany (also €) or UK, you will see Irish wages aren't great. Generally it is also playing catchup - Ireland was a bit of a backwater well into last century.
