JP Morgan Global Finance and Business Management Program Internship

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone is doing well. I was offered a summer internship with JP Morgan in a rotational finance program in NYC. The title of the program is Global Finance and Business Managment( I cant link because I am new) This seems like it would be a mix of corporate finance and management obviously.

However, I am worried about going into to much accounting/auditing work. I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about this program? I'd love to learn about the work people do and what the exit opportunities would generally be?

Lastly, eventually want I want to do is microfinancing/impact investing and I was hoping that the operational side of this might be a bit useful because from what I understand often times these types of companies can use some operational help. However, I would love to hear everyone's opinion on the opportunity?

I was offered the internship as well. It seems to be heavily dependent on what business line and position you are put in. Unlike IB, interns in the program seem to be more heavily spread out among different teams. It seems like a good opportunity but personally I have not been able to find anything online about the program beyond the job description. If anyone has any personal insight I would love to hear it as well.

Brzig Out of curiosity, how was your interview and recruiting process? Did you do a super day, in person, or over the phone interview? Were there multiple rounds.

Hey everyone ! I have an interview for this position tomorrow. Any of you guys can give me any input as to what questions they will ask and as far as the two individuals who have gotten the position, how was the intern? Description would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I did not actually do a hirevue exactly. I attended the ALPFA convention where i interviewed with directors who explained to me that this took the place of hirevue and superday.

In my experience it was all behavioral and they spoke to me about my past experiences. They may ask you some finance questions ( saw some on Glassdoor when I was reviewing) but maybe they did not ask me those considering I had multiple experiences prior.

One question they asked that I did not expect but had an answer for was tell me a time I improved the efficiency of something( at school, prior internship, etc)

Hope this helped a bit

I got the offer for GF & BM as well, just waiting to hear back from my superday for Global Treasury and we will see what happens. I'm really hoping I get the JP GTM offer.

Know your story really well. Why you are interested in the program, where do you see yourself fitting.. why JPM, know all the general behaviorals ( you'll get alot) & they'll branch more behavioral questions off of your experience. ex. name a time you dealt with diverse perspectives in a group project... what are your strengths, weaknesses. Know current events news and general market news. Overall not very technical, but you still need to prepare.
